Patterned after Bunn's commercial and restaurant brewing systems, this home brewer puts high quality materials and classic brewing technology into one great package. The stainless-steel tank holds the brew water at approximately 200-degree F, the temperature required to extract the maximum flavor from coffee. The patented Bunn brewing system showers the water over the ground coffee using a specially designed sprayhead to create optimum turbulence in the funnel for just the right amount of time. It is true that from time to time this carafe dribbles when pouring, but mine has not had an issue for over a year now (a minimal problem at best). the coffee comes out HOT and this is the best machine i have ever owned period. the coffee extracts at the right temp for maximum flavor that will not disappoint *hint*-must also buy good coffee for this to occur. I was tired of tossing coffee machines after 1-2 years, this one is sure to last. and yes, I drink ALOT of coffee, using the pot at least 2x /day, which equals over 1300 brews so far.

This coffeemaker will make a great hot pot of good coffee, but I cannot recommend it. It stays plugged in 24/7, burning electricity nonstop. We have used permanent coffee filters for decades but have not been able to find one large enough for this, so we are back to regularly buying and wasting paper filters(trees). You can use a smaller permanent filter, but coffee grounds overflow into your coffee.



This coffee maker has literally doubled our coffee purchase. Since it drips water through immediately, a lot goes un-dripped and into the garbage (landfill). (We're in a no-recycling zone.)



The black arrow on the black pot is virtually invisible, but if you don't line that up, the lid does not fit right, although it appears to, so coffee brews and drip everywhere except into the pot. (Hint to Bunn: use a white arrow on a black surface.)Keep extra paper towels around (trees), to wipe up drips and coffee runoff.
